Objective: With the transformation of the medical model, Physical and mentalillnesses are paid more and more attention. Premature ejaculation can not only causesexual dissatisfaction and tension between couples, also caused psychological problemseven psychological barriers,as a psychological stressor. Current psychologicalproblems of premature ejaculation is rarely studied, the study for the relation of anxietyand depression with the Premature ejaculation is unclear.The sudy will discuss onpsychological problems of premature ejaculation, identify relationship of anxiety anddepression with the Premature ejaculation, deepen the understanding of prematureejaculation, and explore the physical and mental treatment simultaneously of prematureejaculation.Methods: Since May2010to January2012,230cases with Primary prematureejaculation were enrolled in the study, at the age of22-45(average32.42years old).Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Chinese index0f sexual functionforpremature ejaculationg-10, International Index of Erectile Function-5and patientinformation sheets of Premature ejaculation self-designed were filled before and aftertreatment.150healthy volunteers at the age of22-45(average32.07years old) filled inthe above scale.Results:230questionaires were concluded in the PE group,183questionaireswere valid, recovery rate for79.57%.150questionaires were concluded in the controlgroup,120questionaires were valid, recovery rate for80%.1) Incidence of anxiety in PE and control groups HAD score≥8,PE groupaccounted for116cases (63.39%), control group accounted for13cases (10.83%)(P<0.01), there are significant differences.2) Incidence of depresssion in PE and control groups HAD score≥8,PE groupaccounted for109cases (59.56%), control group accounted for7cases (5.83%)(P <0.01), there are significant differences.3) Incidence of anxiety before and after treatment HAD score≥8,before treatmentaccounted for116cases (63.39%), control group accounted for14cases (7.65%)(P<0.01), there are significant differences.4) Incidence of depression before and after treatment HAD score≥8,beforetreatment accounted for116cases (63.39%), control group accounted for20cases(10.93%)(P <0.01), there are significant differences.5) Incidence of anxiety in after treatment in PE and control groups HAD score≥8,PE group after treatment accounted for14cases7.65%), control group accounted for13cases (10.83%)(P>0.05), there are no significant differences.6) Incidence of depression in after treatment in PE and control groups HADscore≥8, PE group after treatment accounted for20cases (10.93%), control groupaccounted for7cases (5.83%)(P>0.05), there are no significant differences.7) With the extense course of Premature ejaculation, the incidence of Anxiety-depression is rising.Conclusion:1) Anxiety, depression and other psychological problems are related to Prematureejaculation. Anxiety, depression may be caused by Premature ejaculation.2) The incidence and severity of anxiety, depression is related with the course ofpremature ejaculation.3) The status of anxiety and depression can be changed by the outcomes ofpremature ejaculation treatment.
