Objective:The component of residual particles which from hitting of copper-zinc coated steel pipes on filter paper and skin of a pig is analyzed by SEM/EDX. A new method of estimation and identification of the instrument causing the steel pipes is created through comparison and analysis.1.How about the stability of legacy particles from hitting by copper-zinc coated steel pipes;2.The difference between the legacy particle characteristics left by the different types of steel pipes to hit;3.Whether the legacy particles from hitting by steel pipes on filter paper are same as from skin of a pig or not;4. Whether the legacy particles from hitting by steel pipes on different carrier are same as from eath other. Thanks to this method to provide a scientific theory basis for the inspection and determination of copper-zinc coated steel pipes.Methods:Use different types of steel pipes to hit filter paper and skin of pig respectively, extracting five groups of the residual metal particles respectively, analyzing by INCA Software and GSR Feature of SEM/EDX, obtainning each group element types and percentage value of different kinds of elements.then applying Microsoft Office Excel2003and SPSS13.0software to analyze the results of SEM/EDX.Results:To analyze the results by the component of residual particles which from hitting of copper-zinc coated steel pipes on filter paper and skin of a pig. There is no difference between legacy particles from hitting by one copper-zinc coated steel pipe. There are significant differences between the metal particles from hitting by two steel pipes. The characteristics of legacy particles from hitting by steel pipes on different earrier are same.Conclusion:Used SEM/EDX method and analyzed, the component of residual particles which from hitting of copper-zinc coated steel pipes on filter paper and skin of a pig can be identified. SEM/EDX particles analysis method can be used to identify the component of copper-zinc coated steel pipes. Now the method could only identify the types of steel pipes, still can not make the individual of the same identified.
