The Application Of Septum Corrective Treatment In The Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis

Objective To study the application of septum corrective treatment in the treatment ofperennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation. Compare with preoperative and postoperativeclinical symptoms of patients and the improvement of the quality of life, as well as itslong-term efficacy.Looking for better and more reliable treatment for the patients who arediagnosed perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation but not sensitive to the treatment ofdrugs.Methods118people who were diagnosed septal deviation and be under septaldeviation in hospital,with allergic rhinitis by the doctor of the Affiliated Hospital of NingxiaMedical University,Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery between July2010and March2013.All cases were diagnosed by diplomats by asked of history and done a physical exam.All patients were divided into two groups,52cases were diagnosed septal deviation group,and66cases were diagnosed perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation group. There wereclear surgical indications of all patients,all of the patients were have a blood routine testbefore surgery.And recorded the Eosinophils,compared with the Eosinophils of twogroups,then all patients received septum corrective treatment.After3-5days recorded theEosinophils again.Compared with the preoperative and postoperative Eosinophils of septaldeviation and perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation groups.With rhinoconjunctivitisquality of life questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life before surgery and6months later ofperennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation.To compare the quality of life improvementbefore and after surgery.After6month,12month,18month and24month follow-up,to abserve the change of total effective rate after surgery of perennial allergic rhinitis with septaldeviation.Results1.The Eosinophils of the perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation groupwere much more than the septal deviation group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);2. The difference between the preoperative and postoperative Eosinophils of theseptal deviation group was not obvious, there was no statistically difference (P>0.05); Thedifference between the preoperative and postoperative Eosinophils of the perennial allergicrhinitis with septal deviation was statistically significant (P<0.01);3. With rhinoconjunctivitisquality of life questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life before surgery and6months later ofperennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation which were shown that, the quality of life aftersurgery was much better than before, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);4.After6month,12month,18month and24month follow-up,the total effective rate were90.32%、85.71%、76.00%、70.00%separately,to abserve the change of total effective rate aftersurgery of perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation which were shown that,the totaleffective rate were declined, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05)Conclusion1.The Eosinophils of the perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviationgroup were much more than the septal deviation group;2.The septum corrective treatment canobviously reduce the eosinophils of the perennial allergic rhinitis;3.The septum correctivetreatment has a Significant Improvement of the quality of life on the patients of perennialallergic rhinitis with septal deviation;4.The septum corrective treatment had a satisfaetoryshort-term effect on the patients of perennial allergic rhinitis with septal deviation，but thelong-term effect was unstable.
