OBJECTIVE: To detect the expression of Nanog in different growth patterns ofgastric cancer and to explore whether Nanog expression are correlated with theclinicopathological parameters of human GC and the possibility that it can be servedas novel molecular markers for evaluation of prognosis of gastric cancer.METHODS: Used the HE staining method selected47cases of expanding type and34cases of infiltrative type of gastric cancer tissues, and detected the expression ofNanog in two types of gastric cancer respectively by immunohistochemical SPmethod.RESULTS: The positive expression of Nanog in expanding type of gastric cancertissues is55.3%(26/47),whereas82.4%(28/34)positive expression was detected ininfiltrative type of gastric cancer tissues, the expression of Nanog was closelycorrelated with the type of different growth patterns of gastric cancer (P0.05).Moreover, the expression of Nanog was closely correlated with the differentiation(P=0.029)、depth of invasion(P=0.015)、lymph node status(P=0.003)、pTNM stage(P=0.015) of gastric cancer. However. Nanog expression was no-correlation withgender、age、site、size、Borrmann classification、distant metastasis and Ki-67ofpatients with gastric cancer(P0.05).CONCLUSION: Different Nanog expression was found in Ming’s expanding typeand infiltrative type of gastric cancer; the expression of Nanog was closely correlatedwith the differentiation、depth of invasion、lymph node status、pTNM stage of gastriccancer; Nanog is expected to served as one of novel molecular markers for evaluationof prognosis of gastric cancer....
