Objective: To study the clinical results of unstable pelvic fracture with different surgicalmethods.Method: A retrospective study was done for the22patients with unstable pelvicfractures from October2007to October2012. According to the Tile classification,there were11cases of typeB(B1:7;B2:4) and11typeC(C1:6;C2:1;C3:4).In22patients,simple anteriorring fixation was applied in10patients,simple posterior ring fixation in8patients andcombined anterior and posterior fixation in4patients.Result:The follow-up was5months to5years for all22patients.The clinical outcome was excellent in10patients,good in4, fair in7,and poor in1.Conclusion: The operative treatment is the first choice for unstable pelvicfractures.The classification of fractures and the damage of other organs decide the surgicalmethods.The objective of open reduction and fixation is: reduce fracture displacement; obtainthe biggest stability of pelvic ring; receive good function.
