Objectives To know the trace element content and oxidative stress state intype2diabetes, to analyze the relationship between antioxidant enzymes and theirrelated trace elements,to discuss the principal components of trace elements andoxidative stress.Methods Selected patients with type2diabetes in hospital as case group,selected health examination professionals as control group.Investigated the basicinformation、 prevalence of all diseases、 the intake of health care products andmedicine of all subjects by self-made questionnaire;Serum levels of11traceelements were tested in all subjects by method of ICP-AES;Serum levels of5oxidative stress indicators were tested in all subjects by kits.Then analyzed thedifferences of trace element content、the relation between trace elements and theirprincipal components;Analyzed the differences of oxidative stress state、 therelationship between antioxidant enzymes and their related trace elements and theprincipal components of oxidative stress indicators.Results We had collected269participants(155men and114women),therange is21to86,the average age was54.04±12.84.Compared with the controlgroup,the case group had increased serum level of iron(Fe)、 copper(Cu)、 copper/zinc(Cu/Zn) and reduced serum level of selenium(Se)、zinc(Zn)、chromium(Cr)、 lithium(Li),the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05);Others are nostatistical significance(P>0.05);Compared with the control group, the correlationof Cr-Cd Fe-Cd Mn-Cd Fe-Cu Mn-Cu Cu-li has elevated, Mn-Zn has changed fromnegative to positive in case group.Principal component analysis shows:the firstprincipal component includes Cr、Fe、Li,the second principal component includesCu/Zn、Zn、Cu,the third principle component includes Se、Zn,the fourth principlecomponent includes only Se.Compared with the control group, malondialdehyde(MDA) content increases,superoxide dismutase (SOD)、 catalase (CAT) activitiesand the total antioxident capacity (TAOC)reduce in the case group,there arestatistical difference (P<0.05);But glutathion peroxidase (GSH-Px)activity is nosignificant difference (P>0.05).Principal component analysis shows:the firstprincipal component includes CAT、SOD,the second principal component includesTAOC、 SOD,the third principle component includes MDA.In pearson,therelationship between SOD and Zn (r=0.282, P<0.001)、 GSH-Px and Se(r=0.211,P=0.048) are fond; In multiple linear regression analysis, the result displayed thatonly Zn came into the equation.In multiple linear regression analysis, the resultdisplayed that only CAT and Mo came into the equation.Conclusions The trace elements are in disorder in type2diabetes;theoxidative stress level increases in type2diabetes;trace elements are related toantioxidant enzymes;four principle components can include all the trace elements;three principle components can include all the oxidative stress indicators.
