This study retrospectively analyzed131patients with FUO patient’s distribution of age, sex, fever process and pathogenesis,in order to guide the clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method131cases ofhospitalized patients form Xiamen university affiliated zhong shan hospital betweenSeptember2009and October2012were retrospectively analyzed. Recorded131casesof patient’s age, sex, fever process, pathogenesis, discusses the distribution of age, sex, fever process, pathogenesis. Results (1)Grouped by gender, the proportion ofmen in infectious disease is higher(59.7%),and the proportion of women in theconnective tissue diseases is higher(76.9%).(2)By age group, the proportion ofinfectious disease and tumor increased with age increasing, connective tissue diseaseis the second cause (34.3%) in the21-40years old age group, malignant tumor is thenumber two cause (18.4%) in>60years old age group.(3)Grouped by fever process, infectious disease is the first cause in <2months group (72.9%),connective tissuedisease is the first cause in2-4months group (35.9%), malignant tumor is the firstcause in>4months group (40.9%);the longer the fever process, the smaller theproportion of infectious diseases.(4) Grouped by pathogenesis,119cases are finallydiagnosed in131cases of patients after the system check or diagnostic treatment, diagnosis rate was90.8%,67cases are infectious diseases, accounting for51.1%,the main diseases for: tuberculosis (8.4%),sepsis (8.4%),infective endocarditis (4.6%),typhoid fever (4.6%),pulmonary fungus disease (4.6%),hepatic abscess(4.6%),tsutsugamushi disease (2.3%),CMV infection (2.3%),others (11.5%);52cases are non-infectious diseases, accounting for39.7%,the main diseases for: adultonset still’s disease (6.9%), vascular inflammatory disease(4.6%), SLE(3.8%),subacute thyroiditis (3.8%),lymphoma(3.8%),livercancer(3.1%),others(13.7%).Conclusion (1)The main causes of FUO patients are:infectious diseases, connective tissue diseases, and tumor.(2)The major diseases are: tuberculosisinfection, septicemia, pulmonary fungal disease, infective endocarditis, adult onsetstill disease, vascular inflammatory disease, lymphoma and subacute thyroiditis,etc.(3)The proportion of men in infectious disease is higher(59.7%),and the proportionof women in the connective tissue diseases is higher(76.9%);the longer the feverprocess, the smaller the possibility of infectious diseases.
