Objective The purpose of this study was to correlate mammographicfindings with prognostic factors in patients with breast cancer. Methods Mammographic findings in420patients with breast cancerswere retrospectively evaluated. Pathology reports relating tohistological grade, lymphovascular invasion (LVI), oestrogen receptor(ER) status, progesterone receptor (PR) status and Her-2/neu status,P53status,Ki-67status were reviewed.Univariate and multivariate logisticregression was applied to analyze the association between mammographicfindings and prognostic factors in patients with breast cancer. Results On mammography, Associated calcification were associatedwith many poor prognostic factors: high histological grade, positiveHer-2and Ki-67,Indistinct margins was associated with high histologicalgrade, distinct margins were associated with positive Ki-67,calcifications alone、The sizes of masses(>5cm) were associated withpositive Her-2, None of finds was associated with positiveER、 P53andLVI.Conclusion Several mammographic features can have a prognosticvalue in the subsequent treatment of patients with breast cancer. |
