Purpose:(1). To establish the test methods of red cones cell, green cones cell, bluecone cell of the pupillary light reflex, using red, green, blue, white light as thestimulatal light respectively.(2) To explore the characteristics of red cones cell, greencones cell, blue cone cell of the pupillary light reflex, in the normal persons betweendifferent genders, different age, left and right eyes.(3) To explore the characteristicsof red cones cell, green cones cell, blue cone cell of the pupillary light reflex ofblinding eye diseases such as the diabetic retinopathy and optic neuritis,in order toseek the sensitive indexes about early diagnosis and fuction evaluation. Methods: Randomly selected25normal persons50eyes with the age bracket is15-40years as the normal youth group. Randomly selected25normal persons50eyes withthe age bracket is41-60years as the older group. Selected30diabetic retinopathypatients48eyes which is in noproliferative stage as the diabetic retinopathy group.Selected33patients with optic neuritis42eyes as the optic neuritis group. Wedetected the pupillary light reflex of the normal youth group, older group, diabeticretinopathy group, optic neuritis group, using red, green, blue, white light as thestimulatal light respectively, to observe the indicators of changes in the normal groupand contrasts, throw the maximum diameter of the pupil, latency of contraction, amplitude of contraction and vebcity of contraction of the pupillary light reflex, withdifferent colors of light stimulated, any more, to find the differences of the indicators.Result:(1) There was no statistically significant difference in the normal youth groupand the older group between different genders, left and right eyes.(2) There wasstatistically significant differences in the normal youth group and the older group ofthe maximum diameter of the pupil, latency of contraction, amplitude of contractionand vebcity of contraction, using the red, green, blue, white light as the stimulatallight. Under the blue ray irradiation, the maximum diameter of the pupil, amplitude ofcontraction are least, latency of contraction is longest and the vebcity of contraction isslowest. However, when the stimulat ligt is red, the maximum diameter of the pupil, amplitude of contraction are largest, latency of contraction is shortest and the vebcity of contraction is fastest.(3) There was statistically significant differences in thenormal group between different age, the maximum diameter of the pupil, amplitude ofcontraction and the vebcity of contraction of normal group are larger than the oldergroup, and the latency of contraction is shorter.(4) The maximum diameter of the pupil, amplitude of contraction are least and the vebcity of contraction of the diabeticretinopathy patients are larger than the old age-group; the latency of contraction islonger than the old age-group.(5) In the diabetic retinopathy group, when the stimulatligt is red, amplitude of contraction are larger than the other three kinds of light, andthe vebcity of contraction is faster. There was no statistically significant differenceswhen the stimulat ligt are blue, green and white. Also, There was no statisticallysignificant differences with the maximum diameter of the pupil, and the latency ofcontraction.(6) The amplitude of contraction and the vebcity of contraction of theoptic neuritis patients are lower than the normal youth persons, but the latency ofcontraction is longer than the normal youth persons. There was no statisticallysignificant differences when the stimulat ligt is blue, but the latency of contraction islonger than the normal youth persons (7)There was no statistically significantdifferences of the optic neuritis patients during the four kind of light.Conclusion:(1) Have successfully established the Red cones, green cones, blue conedirect pupillary light reflex models and successfully used in the tests.(2) There wasno statistically significant difference in normal persons between different genders, leftand right eyes, however, statistically significant difference had been found betweendifferent ages of the pupillary light reflex.(3) In direct pupillary light reflex withdifferent colors of light of the same brightness, there is lower sensitivity of the bluelight, but red light and green light may have a higher level of sensitivity.(4) Therewas statistically significant difference of the direct pupillary light reflex in thenon-proliferative diabetic retinopathy and the optic neuritis, especially the amplitudeof contraction and the vebcity of contraction. |
