Autonomic Nerves Of Diabetic Patients The Pupil Light Reflex Characteristics

【Extract】Purpose Understand the pupil light reflex characteristics of normal people and diabetic patient, probe into the characteristic of pupil light reflex and the clinical practical value in diagnosing and treatmenting diabetic automatic neuropathy in early days. Method The 112 eyes of56 normal subjects were classified into five groups by age (such as 10 year, 20 year group,etc).Their ages of the normal subjects ranged from 15 to 81 years [mean,(43±2)years].The pupils and the pupillary light reflexes were observed using automatic pupillometer in 56subjects(112eyes).And comparing to the different age group, left and right eyes parameter value;clinical diagnosed diabetic patients 26 cases(52 eyes) do not company with autonomic neuropathy and clinical diagnosed patients 26 cases(52 eyes) company with automatic neuropathy;comparision group and age, sex of patient's group have no difference. The light reflex parameter checked includes pupil area, the largest reaction range, incubation period and the greatest reaction speed. Result The normal crowd increases with age, the pupil area is reduced, the reaction range of pupil light reflex is reduced, lengthened in incubation period is lengthened, the difference has statistics meanings. In the diabetic group, response incubation period of light reflex of patient's eyes pupil and the largest reaction range are reduced too, the difference compared with the diabetic automatic neuropathy group has not statistics meanings, but still there is not a prominent difference compared with normal comparision group.conclusion It is a kind of objective visual function inspection of thorough fare to check in light reflex of pupil .Automatic pupilmetry tester can quantitative to measure normal people pupil and pupil various parameter value of light reflex. Patients'eyes to light reflex of the diabetic automatic neuropathy group and the diabetic group lengthen the incubation period and reduce the largest reaction range. Pupil light reflex check is useful to make early diagnosis and monitor their condition change to diabetic automatic neuropathy.
