The Basic Chinese Traditional Medical Research About The Remedy Of The Radiotherapy-cured-patients, Leucopenia Through The Qi-invigorating And Blood-nourishing Therapy Under The Guidance Of The Qi-blood Inter-promoting Theory

This experiment is designed to screen out a best herbal compound from a series of clinical formulas of traditional Chinese medicine through comparison tests on groups of white mice which have been made to imitate the radiotherapy-cured-patients which will always suffer from the leucopenia.In the experiment110mice were randomly divided into several groups:the original group, the model group, the ginseng soup group, the Xionggui soup group, the Sadamoto soup group the Danggui blood-enriching soupgroup, the Four-herbal-soup group, the experienced-herbal-fomula group, the Qigui blood-enhancing group1, the Qigui blood-enhancing group2, and the Qigui blood-enhancing group3. All but the original group underwent4.0Gy of X-ray irradiation once in the first day; then normal saline gavage was given to the original group and the model group while the corresponding drugs were given to the other groups through the same method which means0.2ml/d of the herbal soup was given to each mouse for7consecutive days.In the eighth day, the peripheral blood and spleens of the mice were extracted and put into the automatic blood analyzers and flow cytometers to detect the T lymphocyte subsets and serum levels of â…¡-2.Finally, the result shows that the mice of model group have a significant decrease of RBC, WBC and Hb in the peripheral blood; together with the T lymphocyte subsets disordered, CD4and CDs declining; and the dropping of cytokines IL-2level compared with the normal (P<0.05).The result also shows that the Four-herbal-soup, the experienced-herbal-fomula, the Qigui blood-enhancing tablet2and the Qigui blood-enhancing tablet3can increase the ratio of T lymphoid CD4+/CD8+in the spleens of the radiation exposed mice, and the level of serum IL-2of the mice can be improved significantly.In summary we can conclude that the Four-herbal-soup, the experienced-herbal-fomula, the Qigui blood-enhancing tablet2and the Qigui blood-enhancing tablet3have an anti-radiation effect on irradiated mice. Thus, there is a great significance to put such types of Qi-invigorating and blood-nourishing Chinese traditional medicines, which can promote the numbers of the red and the white cells of the blood from the radiation exposed mice and relieve the toxic and bad effects of the radiotherapy, into use.
