In order to analysis and evaluation the process of separation, transportation, deposition in soil erosion completely, establish a perfect forecast model of erosion and sediment yield, and analyze the hydrological network topology relationship is necessary. The existing hydrologic network topology analysis have no enough attention of the warping dams and lakes in the valleys system on the influence of water and sediment. This research select Jiuyuan valley as the object. Collecting the literature, data, and images, under the condition of considering warping DAMS, do a systematic research for the methods of establishment and analysis the relationship of topology in small-medium catchment. Main results are as follows:(1) Based on high resolution DEM, extract the three different hydrological landscape elements of nodes, river segment, and catchments in Jiuyuan Valley. This research also calculate some relevant topography parameters;(2) Based on the ground survey data and remote sensing images of Jiuyuan Valley, interpret the warping dams in this region, brought the warping dams into the river topology analysis;(3) Using the methods of spatial data overlay analysis, and programming to establish the Jiuyuan Valley hydrologic network topology and the relationships among the watershed confluence, and analysis the influences of water source and the flow accumulation quantity change of warping dams;(4) Preliminary experiment results show that:Through this research process to establish the relationships of Jiuyuan Valley watershed hydrologic network topology and watershed confluence, can conform to the objective law and field conditions. It is also can express Jiuyuan Valley watershed hydrological condition effectively.
