With the development of farming industry, there is a growing emphasize on cowendometritis. Endometritis is the cause of sterility and other reproductive organ diseases in cows, which results in huge economic losses in farming industry. Nowadays, the most widely usedtreatment for endometritis is local or systemic antibiotics. However, repeated antibiotic use candevelop resistance to antibiotics in cows as well as reduce immunity. The major bacteria isolated from healthy cows are lactobacillus, while the three majorpathogens isolated from cows with endometritis are Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcusagalactiae and Escheria coli. By antibacterial test, we separated a bacterial strain with thestrongest antibacterial activity from lactobacillus, which was isolated from healthy cows. Thenwe identified this bacterial strain was Lactobacillus acidophilus by staining microscopy, biochemical test and PCR. In animal safety study, we confirmed that the three bacterial strains, including Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Bacillus natto, were unlikelyto cause death or other diseases in mice. By studying biological characteristics of the threebacterial strains, we finalized the best method for culturing Lactobacillus acidophilus, which was:static anaerobic culture under conditions of initial PH6.6,3%bacterial liquid inoculation and39℃; for culturing Lactobacillus rhamnosus: anaerobic shake culture under conditions of initialPH6.4,4%bacterial liquid inoculation and39℃; for culturing Bacillus natto: aerobic shakeculture under conditions of initial PH7.0,4%bacterial liquid inoculation and37℃. We culturedthe three bacterial strains under best methods, mixed them together with suitable proportion, andused them as treatment for successfully established model of mice and rabbits. Results ofautopsia and pathological section suggested that the treatment was effective. According toobservation and palpation results of cows, we could see the treatment for cows with endometritiswas effective. In conclusion, microecological therapy is an effective clinical treatment for animal modelsand cows with endometritis. Moreover, microecologics will not bring harm to cows, thus thistreatment has laid a solid foundation for further clinical trial.
