The first experiment about watermelon’178’,’126’studied the effect of different Forchlorfenuron concentration on yield, sugar content, vitamin c, fruit skin thickness, fruit stalk diameter as well as seeds number; The second experiment on watermelon178studied the difference on yield, sugar content, fruit stalk diameter, thickness of skin as well as seeds number after being treated by100times of Forchlorfenuron on flowers and fruit stalk; The third experiment on watermelon’178’studied the degradation of Forchlorfenuron on watermelon female flowers; the main results are as follows:1.The yields of watermelon were increased on all Forchlorfenuron treatments. compared with the control the added trend was basicly the same. The significant difference lies in100times and200times treatment, Adding13.9%,24.7%respectively.2.Compared with the control, sugar content has tiny trend to increase after Forchlorfenuron treatment, but the trend was not significant. In’178’experiments sugar content increased up to0.93%in100times treatment. In’126’experiments the sugar content has increased in different extent except the decrease in33times treatment.3.The content of vitamin c in’178’and126increases in different extent after Forchlorfenuron treatment and100times reaches to significant level, increased by0.47,0.78(mg/100g) respectively.4. The rind thickness has no significant exchange and the fruit stalk diameter increased slightly in’178’and’126. Compared with the control the two varieties were relatively close.5. Effect of Forchlorfenuron treatment on seeds number is tiny. In this experiment the difference reached to significant level except100times,50times,33times treatment in ’178’. While in’126’seeds number were not decreased significantly.6. Dealing on flowers or fruit stalk on’178’comparing with the control, single fruit weight increasing by0.20kg and0.33kg respectively, sugar content increasing by0.94%,0.14%respectively, Vc increasing by0.43,0.40, rind thickness increasing by-0.01cm,0.09cm respectively, fruit stalk diameter increasing0.04cm,0.17cm respectively, seeds number decreasing46.6grains,2.8grains. showing that the fruit weight, sugar content, rind thickness, fruit stalk diameter increased slightly, seeds number reduced slightly, but the difference was not significant. Treatment on flowers and stalk also has no significant difference.7.Three days later Forchlorfenuron could not be detected in watermelon female, Forchlorfenuron has degraded completely and will not cause any harm for production.
