3-year-old Xia Hei and Redglobe grapes which were under shelter facility cultivation at Yongan town in Shuangliu county, were taken as the material in the experiment, and the effects of different concentrations of ABA spraying on whole plant at the coloring initial stage on stress resistance and fruit quality of grapes were investigated studied by completely randomized experiment with water as contrast. The experiment was aimed at ascertaining the relevance of ABA with grapes stress resistance and fruit quality, screening out the optimal concentration of ABA which used for growing and enhancing the stress resistance and value of grape, reducing the dosage of pesticides and chemicals, and providing the basis of the theory and practice to perfect the safety quality and efficient cultivation technology in high temperature and humidity areas in Sichuan. The experimental results showed that:1. ABA could promote the content of proline and soluble sugar, and the increase in the activity of SOD and POD,inhibit the accumulation of MDA and delay the increase of the relative electrolytic leakage of Xia Hei and Redglobe grape leaf. The content of proline and soluble sugar as well as the activity of SOD and POD of Xia Hei grape increased by350.2%,176.4%,43.4%and74.3%respectively in250mg/L1%S-ABA treatment where they increased most and the content of MDA and the relative electrolytic leakage were minimum.While Redglobe grape of them increased by231.7%,159.7%,62.5%and86.2%respectively in300mg/L1%S-ABA treatment where they increased most and the content of MDA and the relative electrolytic leakage were minimum.2. The contents of proline and soluble sugar as well as the activity of SOD and POD of Xia Hei grape increased with the raising of the1%S-ABA concentration, and reached the peak value in250mg/L,while decreased in300mg/L, however the contents of MDA and the relative electrolytic leakage reduced with the increase of the1%S-ABA concentration, reached their lowest value in250mg/L, while increased in300mg/L. Similarly, Redglobe grape of them increased with the raising of the1%S-ABA concentration, however the contents of MDA and the relative electrolytic leakage reduced with the increase of the1%S-ABA concentration. 3.ABA could enhance the weight of single panicle and single fruit, improve the color index, but has no effect on fruit shape index, and totally perfect the quality of the appearance of Xia Hei and Redglobe grapes. It also could increase the contents of the soluble solids, total sugar, Vc and anthocyanin, and reduce the content of the total acid, improve the inner quality of two kinds of grapes.Xia Hei grape got the optimum effect in250mg/L1%S-ABA where the weight of single panicle and single fruit was683.33g and10.14g, the color index was100, and the content of soluble solids,total sugar,total acid,Vc and the anthocyanin were20.03%,14.40g/100mL,0.407g/100mL,3.79mg/100mL,306.09μg/g respectively. Redglobe grape of them got the optimum effect in300mg/L1%S-ABA where the weight of single panicle and single fruit was1240.80g and18.50g, the color index was98.5, and the content of soluble solids,total sugar,total acid,Vc and the anthocyanin were17.72%,12.06g/100mL,0.313g/100mL,3.33mg/100mL and201.46μg/g respectively, and they were not significantly different with the effect in250mg/L1%S-ABA.4. Total acid content of Xia Hei grape decreased with the increasing of1%S-ABA concentration, and reached the minimum in250mg/L, while increased in300mg/L, however other fruit quality indicators would raise with the increase of1%S-ABA concentration,and reached maximum in250mg/L, while declined in300mg/L. Similarly, the total acid content of Redglobe grape decreased with the raising of1%S-ABA concentration, however other fruit quality indicators raised with the increasing of the1%S-ABA concentration.
