| In this paper, six representative pea varieties in Gansu province is selected, and500N electronic universal testing machine are used for studying extrusion, shear andhardness properties of Pea grain. Research results was so as to provide scientific basisfor pea’s harvest, storage, process and the related link of agricultural machinerydesign, the machining process.1. Extrusion tests of peas were conducted on pea at different moisture contents(from10.3%to18.3%), loading speed and loading methods by using universalhydraulic test equipment. The experiment results showed that yield strength was1.06~4.80MPa, modulus of elasticity was57.5~392.6MPa, crushing load was83.8~358.1N, maximum yield deformation is0.422%~1.521%;With the increase ofmoisture contents, maximum yield deformation of pea was increased, while the yieldstrength, elastic modulus and crushing load were decreased obviously; At the samemoisture contents, the yield strength, elastic modulus, crushing load and themaximum yield deformation were largest when placed in the position of lying in flat, smallest when in standing and medium when lying on side; Yield strength, elasticmodulus, crushing load and the maximum yield deformation were extremelysignificant difference between varieties, Loading speed did not obviously effect on themechanical characteristic parameters of pea extrusion; The Excel softwarerespectively fit out the regression equation between moisture content and themechanical characteristic parameters of extrusion at different loading speed andloading methods and it was good.2. Shear tests of peas were conducted on pea at different moisture contents (from10.3%to18.3%), loading speed and loading methods by using universal hydraulictest equipment, the experiment results showed that Shear load was12.3~63.8N. Theresearches show that shearing load was decreased obviously with the increase ofmoisture contents; At the same moisture contents, the shearing load was largest whenplaced in the position of lying in flat, smallest when in standing and medium whenlying on side; shearing load were extremely significant difference between varieties, Loading speed did not obviously effect on the mechanical characteristic parameters ofpea shear; The Excel software respectively fit out the regression equation betweenmoisture content and the mechanical characteristic parameters of shear at differentloading speed and loading methods and it was good.3. Hardness tests of peas were conducted on pea at different moisture contents(from10.3%to18.3%), loading speed by using universal hydraulic test equipment, and the measured value of hardness is in the range of11.3~62.5MPa. The researchesshow that when the variation of loading speed is in1~3mm/s and depth ofindentation in0.3~0.5mm, it has no obvious effect in the test results. The Excelsoftware respectively fit out the regression equation between moisture content and thevalue of hardness at different loading speed and depth of indentation and it was good.4. Extrusion, shear and hardness properties of Pea grain were analyzed by thefinite Element Method. The test results and Finite Element solutions were compared, which respectively showed that the maximal difference between them was10.8%,12.3%, and13.8%. The simulation numerical solution is confirmed by comparingwith the experiment data. |
