Elaeagnus L. is a kind of wild nut plants with great economic value. Theapplication of this plants is very broad, even though the species is not much in nature. There are about55species in China and80in the world by far. Because Elaeagnus Lgrow mostly in the mountains, it is extremely inconvenient to survey in the past, thusthe distribution and diversity statistics is not full and accurate. In the recent30years,some new species have been found occasionally, and the number of Elaeagnus L.species is constantly increasing. In this study, the species of Elaeagnus L. in shangchengcounty, were surveyed. After some resource were collected, some key nutrients of thefruit of two newly discovered species’ were determined. In addition, the differentmethods of extraction DNA from the two newly discoved plants has been carried toprovide the basis for related biology study. The conclusion is as follows:1. Three wild species distribute in this county and one species distribute part areaof this county. The two species, Elaeagnus angustifolia Linn. and Elaeagnus multifloraThunb. var. obovoidea C. Y. Chang reported in Flora of China, can be found inShangcheng county. There are two other species, that is, Elaeagnus bockii Diels. andElaeagnus argyi Levl. which have been not reported in Shangcheng county. Accordingto the plant distribution area in Shangcheng county, Elaeagnus L. can be divided intotwo types. Type1is widely distributed model, they are Elaeagnus angustifolia Linn.,Elaeagnus multiflora Thunb. var. obovoidea C. Y. Chang and Elaeagnus argyi Levl.;type2is limited distributed mode, it is Elaeagnus bockii Diels.2. Method of SDS, CTAB, phenol-chloroform and modified CTAB wererespectively used to extract DNA from Elaeagnus bockii Diels. and Elaeagnus argyiLevl.. When leaf of Elaeagnus bockii Diels were used as materials, phenol-chloroformmethod worked best. When tender leaves were used as materials, phenol-chloroform method worked best For Elaeagnus argyi Levl. different parts almost has the sameeffect.3. Results of fruit nutrition determination of Elaeagnus bockii Diels. andElaeagnus argyi Levl. show that there are no significant difference among differentregions. The fruit contains a variety of beneficial ingredients to human body.Especiallythe essential amino acid content is rich which fits a pattern of the WHO/FAO referenceproteins that belong to high quality protein. In addition, the mineral elements content inthem are rich, which belongs to high potassium, calcium, selenium, iron, manganeseand copper food. The above shows that there are good nutritional value and health carefunction, development and application prospect in these two kinds of fruits. |
