This experiment use Black goats in Guangxi as experimental animal and was designed by single factor, using banana leaf instead of elephant grass, dividing into6levels:without banana leaf (Control group),20%(Diet group1),40%(Diet group2),60%(Diet group3),80%(Diet group4),100%(Diet group5). All of groups were cultured by gas production system in vitro for72h to evaluate the nutritional value of banana leaf as feed so as to provide a theoretical basis for the development and utilizati-on of banana stalks as goat fodder. This thesis includes two parts, gas production metho-d in vitro and the analysis of Microbial Polymorphism in rumen fluid. The main results are as follow:1. The cellulase and xylanase activities of Diet group1were both the highest, separately as0.0135umol/ml min-1and0.0312umol/ml min-1; while diet group2were the lowest, separately as0.0043umol/ml min-1and0.004umol/ml min-1. There was no significant difference on enzyme activity among diet group2,3,4, and5;2. The gas production showed the increasing trend in various diet groups, whose rate increased before36h but decreased after36h. Diet group3had the most gas product ion as40.8ml; While diet group5had the least as31.1ml;3. pH of fermentation substrate in various diet groups increased first and then decreased. pH of diet group3was the highest as6.54, close to diet group4; while the control group was the lowest as6.36;4. The degradation of dry matter decreased first and then increased. The degradation rate of dry matter control group was the highest as10.85%; While diet group3was the lowest as9.82%;5.The amount of protozoa showed gradual down -ward trend, with the highest in control group as8.51×104ml-1but the lowest in diet group5as3.82×104ml-1;6. The Bacterial nitrogen content increased first and then decreased. The Bacterial nitrogen content of diet group3was the highest as0.785mg/ml, while the control group was the lowest as0.675mg/ml;7. With the increas ing quantity of banana leaf added into, Polymorphism of microorganisms decreased gradually.Consideri-ng all factors, the amount of banana leaf added into goat diet is60%.
