This study research is Harbin science and technology research project, project number is2010AA6CN072.Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ is a selection which is made by the Beijing Botanic Garden. So this research studied the cold tolerance of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ in order to determine the feasibility of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ used in cold area in Heilongjiang Province, the research is under natural and artificial low temperature stress,as contrast of Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara, through measuring its annual branches physiological indicators include relative electric conductivity, SOD activity, POD activity, soluble sugar content, soluble protein and proline, MDA content, using analysis of variance, multiple comparison, subordinate function and correlation method to comparative analysis its cold resistance, and combined with its wintering performance under natural conditions.to comprehensive evaluat its cold resistance. The test results are as follows:1、Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ grafed on Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara natural wintering in Harbin.2、The blooming time of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ was later about five days than Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara, the flowering lasted from early July to late July, for more than20days. Harbin weather affected the time of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ flowering, and the blooming of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ Grafed on Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara in Harbin than those of grafed on Syringa pekinensis place of origin postponed for a month or so.3、In the process of temperature change in natural, the relative electric conductivity, SOD activity, POD activity, soluble protein content, MDA content and proline content of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ and Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara presented the upward tendency with the decrease of natural temperature, then presented the downward trendency with the natural temperature of the back, but soluble sugar content was a declining trend all along.4、Under artificial low temperature stress, compared with index of0℃,with the deepening of low temperature stress the relative electric conductivity, SOD activity, POD activity and soluble protein content of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ and Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara presented the upward tendency, MDA content and proline content presented the trend of first increase and then drop, soluble sugar content was increased first fall after riser. Compared with the natural temperature variation process of each index, in the process of natural thermometer plants showed the strong self-healing ability, and all showed stronger cold resistance.5、Conductance method combined with Logistic equation can get that the semi-lethal temperature of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ and Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara were respectively-35.08℃,-39.11℃.6、Through correlation analysis, relative electric conductivity, POD activity, soluble protein content were positively correlated. The relative electric conductivity, SOD activity, POD activity and soluble protein content could be as the main indicator of Syringa pekinensis ’Beijing Gold’ cold resistance identification, MDA content, proline content and soluble sugar content could be as the assistant indicator.7、the cold resistance of Syringa pejkinensis ’Beijing Gold’ grafed on Syinga reticulate var. mandshurica Hara in Harbin showed stronger cold resistance adaptability, can be applied in the region.
