| This study was composed to evaluation the artificial Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves by these following experiments:nutritive composition analyses(conventional nutrients,minerals content,amino acids content and the flavonoids content),the test of ruminal degradation and feeding. A basis data of the Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves was offered for the rational use in the further ruminant production.Exp.1.Measurement and analysis of the nutrients of the Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves. The small fruit Seabuchthorn and the infinite fruit Seabuchthorn were collected and divided into branches and leaves. The branches were divided into small branches (0<d<0.2cm), middle branches(0.2cm<d<0.5cm) and big branches (0.5cm<d<1.0cm) based on the diameter. The proportion of the different parts from the whole plants were recorded while dividing. A preliminary evaluation of the nutritional value of the Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves was made by measuring the different part of the small fruit Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves and the infinite fruit Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves. The content of DM, CP, EE, NDF, ADF, Ash was measured, the results show that the content of DM, CP, EE, NDF, ADF. Ash has the significant difference(P<0.05) in the different part of the same variety kinds fruit Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves, the content of CP,EE,NDF,ADF has the significant difference(P<0.05) in the same part of the different variety kinds of the Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves, except the content of the DM, Ash (P>0.05). The content of the mineral elements is different in the different part of species. The highest content of the common mineral elements K and the trace mineral elements Fe was placed in the different parts in the small fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves. In the infinity fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves is k except the leaves which the highest elements is Ca.The content of elements Cu is the lowest in the different parts of the two variety kind of fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leave.There are abundant of amino acids in the Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves,including the essential amino acids,and the ration of the essential amino acids is40%, the percent of the essential amino acids and the non-essential amino acids is60%.The value of the leaves,the mixture of the leaves and the branches in the small fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves is38.09%,71.77%;37.01%,67.97%respectively,and in the infinity fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves is37.33%,69.41%,35.79%,64.12%respectively,which satisfied the value of the amino acids pattern. The amino acids of MET was lowest in the different part of the different species.The highest content of flavonoid exists in the leaves of the small fruit Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves and in the infinity fruit Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves, the value is9.3mg/g,11.43mg/g respectively, the lowest is the big branches and the value is5.05mg/g,7.56mg/g respectively.Exp.2. The study on the ruminal degradation of the Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves.18adult meat rams, which installed permanent rumen fistula, and weighing about50kg, was chosen as the experiment animals, they were divied into to six groups, and three sheep in each group, measuring the sample’s degradation rate at the different point in time by the text of ruminal degradation and study the Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves has effective on sheep apparent digestibility, the results show that the samples were improved as the time goes and the highest degradation is leaves, the degradability of DM,CP,NDF,ADF of the leaves in the small fruit Seabuckthorn branches and leaves in72hs is67.80%,80.42%,37.63%,25.57%respectively, and in the infinite fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves is70.56%,33.14%,34.45%,32.62%, respectively.But the lowest degradation is the big branches,the degradability of DM,CP,NDF,ADF of the big branches in the small fruit Seabuckthorn branches and leaves in72hs is31.88%,27.19%,10.55%,5.95%, respectively,in the infinite fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves is31.12%,9.32%,11.56%,6.46%, respectively.The degradability of the proportions which is not added the big branches is higher than the small branches and the big branches, but lower than the leaves, especially the proportion of50:25:25:0.The degradability of DM,CP,NDF,ADF of the50:25:25:0in the small fruit Seabuckthorn branches and leaves in72hs is59.64%,,76.60%,24.16%,22.26%,respectively,in the infinite fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves is56.37%,27.15%,33.69%,36.37%, respectively. It is recommended to reduce the proportion of the big braches during havesting the fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves to improve the utilization of the fruit Seabuchthorn’s branches on animals.Exp.3. The effect on the sheep’s apparent digestibility and production of the Seabuchthorn’s branches and leaves.18sheep, which were six months old,similar weight body,normal condition and the average weight is25.8kg, were chosen as the experiment animals. They were divied into two groups, each repeated nine sheep, feeding30days.The experiment of the apparent digestibility was made by the methord of collecting the total feces, the results show that the apparent digestibility of DM, OM, CP, NDF, ADF is50.41%,53.28%,43.69%,40.52%,41.76%respectively of the Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves, and there is no significant difference (P>0.05)compared with the control group, all value of apparent digestibility are equal to the hey’s level,the test show that the artificial cultivation of Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves can use as a resource of roughage feeding.In order to study the effective on the production of the sheep by measuring the feed intake,the feed conversion and the ADG, the results show that the value of the feed intake,the feed conversion,ADG is0.95kg/a/d,8.17,116.33g respectively, and there is no significant difference compared with the control group(P>0.05).To sum up, there is abundant of the nutrition,mineral,amino acides in the Seabuckthorn’s branches and leaves, the leaves’CP is20%, the mixture of branches and leaves’s degradation is lower as the branches diameter thiner.
