In order to find the best cultivation way, to provide theoretical basis for good quality andhigh yield of pepper under greenhouse. With pepper variety Qin pepper No.1as test material, the effects of different hole distance, row spacing, planting methods on agronomic traits, photosynthesis characteristics, quality and yield of pepper under greenhouse were studied byusing completely randomized experiment. We also identified the disease resistance of Qinpepper No.1and it’s male and female parent. At the same time, the effect of grafting on theresistance to Phytophthora capsici was studied. The main results showed that:1. The plant height, stem diameter, chlorophyll content and dry matter content are allreach a higher level when the cultivation way was hole distance35cm×row spacing(50cm/70cm). Under this cultivation way pepper can reach the maximum plant height(70.8cm) when planting double seedlings. when planting single seedlings pepper can reachthe maximum stem diameter (10.32mm) and the highest chlorophyll content, at the same timethe plant dry matter content of aboveground part and underground part was maximum,54.64g and8.18g, respectively.2. The photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, intercellular CO2concentration andstomatal conductance of upper leaves is higher than the lower blade. The differences of theeffect of the cultivation way on photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, intercellular CO2concentration and stomatal conductance of upper leaves was not significant. The effect ofplanting methods on the photosynthesis of lower leaf is not significant and the photosynthesisis the strongest when planting single seedlings. The differences of the affect of hole distanceand row spacing on photosynthetic characteristics is not significant.3. The effect of hole spacing on yield per plant is not significant difference. The averagefruit weight, fruit number and yield per plant are higher when the row spacing (50cm/70cm)×single plants. The effect of hole spacing, row spacing, planting methods, holespacing×planting methods and row spacing×planting methods on the yield is significantdifference. The yield of pepper is the highest, about6838.9kg/667m~2when the cultivationway was hole distance35cm×row spacing (50cm/70cm)×double plants,When plantingsingle seedlings the yield was6315.7kg/667m~2and the seedling quantity reduced by half. So it is the best cultivation way.4. The effect of cultivation way on Fruits dry matter content and capsorubin is notsignificant difference. The content of Vc and soluable protein is higher than other treatmentswhen planting single seedlings. The differences of the effect of hole distance and row spacingon them is not significant.5.The resistance ability of B3,B42and Qin pepper No.1was evaluated by vitro leavesmethod using Ph1(PC), Ph2(PG-1)and Ph3(HX-9) of P. capsici as inoculum. The resultsshowed that:The resistance ability of B3to Ph1(PC), Ph2(PG-1) and Ph3(HX-9) is highresistance, susceptibility, resistance respectively. The resistance ability of B42to Ph1(PC),Ph2(PG-1) and Ph3(HX-9) is resistance, susceptibility, susceptibility respectively. The resistanceability of Qin pepper No.1to Ph1(PC), Ph2(PG-1) and Ph3(HX-9) is also resistance, susceptibility, susceptibility respectively but the incidence and disease index between B3and B42.6. We obtain grafted plants use cleft graft taking Qin pepper No.1as the cion, CM334andQin pepper No.1as stock respectively. The resistance ability of two kinds of grafted plants andQin pepper No.1was evaluated by vitro leaves method using Ph3(HX-9) of P. capsici asinoculum. It indicates that resistance increased after use SCM334as the root stock forgrafting. The incidence was reduced by10.8%and disease index was reduced by4.248hafter inoculation. The resistance ability to Ph3(HX-9) is moderate resistance. The resistanceability of own-rooted seedlings was lower than contrast.
