An Investigation And Analysis Of Festival Flower Application In Nanning

As the society and economy develope, it has been universally recognized to use colorful flowers to embellish the city and build the atmosphere during the festival. Festival flowers play an important role in improving the ecological environment and overall landscape of the city, as well as in the municipal project to construct a "beautiful Nanning".Through field investigation, questionnaire survey, etc, on the nanning flower festival in2008-2012, the author records and analysis and gets comprehensive investigation in flower species, flowers and plants landscape, maintenance management three aspects had certain research results.Research results are as follows:(1)In terms of flower species, all the flowers used in Nanning from2008to2012belong to54species of32families of46genera. Among all of them,27.8%, or15species are biennial plant;40.7%, or22species, perennial plant; and31.5%, or17species, evergreen shrubs. When it comes to the use frequency, varieties of flower often used are small in number and keep unchanged. In particular, there are totally no more than11varieties of flower which are often or more often used. Flower species in different types of green land have no big difference. The festival flower has four characteristics including flowers plant type,texture, color and odor. (2)The festival flower of Nanning is widely distributed, and has diverse environments, which can be classified into three sorts, i.e. linear environment, planar environment and environment of body shape. The theme, which reflects two traits of time and culture, is usually embodied by the method of imitation, metaphor and symbol etc. In terms of color, warm color attune is mainly adopted at large, and it can create the festival atmosphere. According to the ratio of use, different colors are arranged in a descending order as follow:yellow series≥red series＞orange series＞pink series≥purple department＞blue series＞white series.There are three forms of flower application which are respectively flower terrace, flower ribbon, and flower meadow. When artistic techniques are adopted, what are mainly concerned are the unity of the part and whole, the balance of the size and space, the harmony of the activity and inertia etc., so as to keep a certain rhythm and rhyme.(3) The overall protection of festival flowers in Nanning is good. Most of the festival landscape can reach the expected effect of ornamental flowers, on the other hand, there are also problems in five aspects. For instance, the flowering period is short and irregular, potted flowers easily skew and wilt, just to name a few.(4) The application characteristics of festival flowers in Nanning are mainly presented in five aspects:long route, many nodes and huge coverage; flexible plant conTable uration; outstanding theme; rich connotation; varied form and design of high level. a strong engineering and technology (5)Three typical problems of festival flowers application in Nanning are as follow:species are rare and unchanged; the demonstration of the theme of the landscape design excessively depends on outer decorations; and the management of construction and protection is not sufficient.
