Corn is one of the three major cereal crops in the world, and it plays a decisive role on foodand feed production. In recent years, with the expansion of corn acreage and continuous croppingyear by year, the damage of corn borer on corn production was aggravated gradually, whichseriously impacted corn yield. In Luobei area, controlling corn borer is still dominated by chemicalpesticide control. Although chemical pesticide can kill corn borer, it also can kill the enemies andnon-target organisms, affecting the quality of agricultural products and the safety of people andlivestock. On the other hand, the perennial single pesticide control may also make the corn borerresistance increase so as to aggravate the damage of corn yield. In order to find an integratedcontrol method for corn borer not only effectively controlling the damage of corn borer but alsoensuring the safety of agricultural production, protecting the ecological environment andpromoting the sound development of agriculture, the occurrence dynamics of corn borer and thecontrol efficiency of different methods for corn borer including the combination of the stack ofBeauveria bassiana and the insecticidal lamp, the insecticidal lamp, the combination of corn strawreturning and trichogramma releases in the field, corn straw returning, the trichogramma releasesin the field, the chemical pesticide and the biological agent in Luobei area were investigated. Themain results are as follows:Firstly, by using the insecticidal lamp trapping corn borer adults, we found that the highperiod of corn borer is from June19thto July7th, and there are two litter peaks in this period, thatis from June19thto June25thand from July1stto July7th, respectively, and the emergence peak isgenerally18to22days.Secondly, the control efficiency and benefit for corn borer with different control methodsshowed that, the control efficiency and benefit with the combination of the stack of Beauveriabassiana and the insecticidal lamp were70.8%and37.2yuan per mu, those with the insecticidallamp were30.3%and11.6yuan per mu, those with the combination of corn straw returning andtrichogramma releases in the field were83.5%and65.7yuan per mu, those with the corn strawreturning were72%and27.4yuan per mu, those with the trichogramma releases in the field were66.4%and51.9yuan per mu, those with the chemical pesticide were84.6%and29.4yuan per mu,and those with the biological agent were63.9%and23.7yuan per mu, respectively.Thus it can be seen, the control efficiency for corn borer from high to low was the chemicalpesticide, the combination of corn straw returning and trichogramma releases in the field, the cornstraw returning, the combination of the stack of Beauveria bassiana and the insecticidal lamp, thetrichogramma releases in the field, the biological agent, and the insecticidal lamp. The controlbenefit from high to low was the combination of corn straw returning and trichogramma releasesin the field, the trichogramma releases in the field, the chemical pesticide, the combination of thestack of Beauveria bassiana and the insecticidal lamp, the corn straw returning, the biological agent, and the insecticidal lamp.Thirdly, from an integrated point considering the control efficiency and the benefit of yield,income and environment, the combination of the stack of Beauveria bassiana and the insecticidallamp was the best selection for corn borer control in this area.
