Faku County is an important cornproduction base in Liaoning Province and the corn planting area exceeds 1 million mu.Diseases and insect pests such as northern corn leaf blight,corn borer,and traditional control methods have resulted in low utilization ratio of northern corn leaf blight and insect pests.Pesticide residues exceed the standard,environmental pollution and other adverse consequences.In this study,the occurrence dynamics of northern corn leaf blight and corn borer in Faku County were monitored and analyzed,comprehensive management of northern corn leaf blight and pests,which provided theoretical basis for maize agricultural production in Faku County.The main elements include the following:1.The occurrence of northern corn leaf blight in Faku County were Monitored and the occurrence regularity of Maize Leaf spot were summarized in 2016 and 2017 in 16 maize producing areas.The results showed that the incidence rate and disease index of Maize spot disease in Faku County increased gradually from the middle of June to the last ten days of Augus.2.Resistance investigation of Maize varieties in Faku County the resistance of maize varieties in five villages and towns of Faku County was investigated.The results showed that the incidence of northern corn leaf blight of the first tested varieties was lower than that of the varieties planted all the year round and the control varieties(Huabai,Huangzao4),and there was no significant difference between the regions.3.The occurrence dynamics of corn borer in Faku county was monitored.The results showed that the source number of corn borer in Faku county was large after overwintering.The pupae rate of corn borer exceeded 50% in the first ten days of June,and the emergence rate reached 20%.The egg laying time of the corn borer in Faku County was all in the first ten days of June,but the number of corn borer increased most obviously at the jointing stage.The application of Trichogramma to control the corn borer had obvious effect on increasing the yield of corn borer,which can reduce the number of corn borer in the next year and play an active role in controlling the corn borer in maize production at the same time.4.The new spray apparatus was used to control the northern corn leaf blight and cornborer in Faku county.The results showed that chemical agents(diphenyl ether,mebuconazole,etc.),control of insect pests such as northern corn leaf blight and corn borer insecticides(flufenamide,fluorobenzamide,etc.),Methyl retinoate,with the use of growth regulators(Newfam total nutritious foliar fertilizer)and spray aids(high efficiency vegetable oil spraying aids),which could achieve excellent control effects.The disease index and quantity of northern corn leaf blight and corn borer were significantly lower than that of the control,and the results of the yield increasing test showed that the application of new green plant growth regulator and high efficiency fungicides could effectively reduce the disease index of northern corn leaf blight,increase the yield of maize,achieve the function of protecting yield and increasing yield.
