Immunoenhancement is one of material which could be used with antigen and enhance animalorganism non-specific and specific immune, so the immunoenhancement of Chines herbal medicinal iswidely used in breeding of livestock and birds. Many researches have showed that many Chines herbalmedicinal ingredients have immunoenhancement. Polysaccharides, as one of important active ingredientsof Chinese herbal medicine, not only have antiviral activity but also can enhance immunity.In this study,two Chinese herbal polysaccharides were selected as object, and their antiviral and immune-enhancingaction and mechanism were investigated through a series of experiments in resistance to bacteria and viras.The purpose is to offer the theory basis fordeveloping polysaecharides as immunopotentiators.Using water-decoction and ethanol-precipitation method extracted APS and EPS. The total contents(%)of APS and EPS were58.9and62.3respectively.The total extractive rates(%) of them were34.4and57.9respectively. The two polysaccharides were prepared for the whole study.Assigne801-day-old chickens equally into eight treatments, each including four replicates of fivebirds. Four groups immuned Newcastle vaccine were injected with APS、EPS、APS–EPS and normalsaline. Another four groups immuned bursa fabricius were injected with APS、EPS、APS–EPS and normalsaline. The antibody level of serum wasdetected through the blood clots inhibit test and Elisa experimental,so as to select a group for enhancing animal body of traditional Chinese medicine immune opotentiator andvaccine adjuvants.All the medicine group had been significantly improved vaccine immune response ability,and improved the newcastle and infectious bursal antibody standard to improve immune protective rate.The groups injected APS-EPS had obvious effect in immunity enhancement.Assigned13g-20.5g mice equally into eight treatments, each including ten mice. Each group wereinjected normal saline(NS)+NS, APS+NS, EPS+NS, APS-EPS+NS, APS+E.coli、EPS E.coli、APS-EPS+E.coli、NS+E.coli. Staphylococcus aureus used the same method with E.coli. Measured the concentrationof IgG in serum by the IgG kits and calculated the spleen index. The results: Astragalus-epimediumpolysaccharide group spleen index was0.58, the control group was0.52; Staphylococcus aureus Astragalus-Astragalus epimedium polysaccharide group draw-epimedium polysaccharide IgG concentration (log-1)was6.75pg/mL, the concentration of IgG control group (log-1is17.83pg/mL.The results showed thatAPS-EPS had obvious effect in improving the spleen index and the concentration of IgG in E.coli-infectedmice serum.
