Beijing is the political and cultural center of our nation, and one of the world’s largecities. Heating and cooling account for a large proportion of energy consumption in the city,and also direct affected the quality of environment. At this time Beijing’s urbanheating&cooling taken many ways. With changes in technology advances, the development ofsocial undertakings and energy structure, how to select and decide economic rationality urbanheating&cooling methods, adapt to environmental protection requirements, has become anurgent problem.In this study, the status of heating and cooling in Beijing has be surveyed, and somemetropolis has the same latitude with Beijing, such heating and cooling experience hasconcluded. In public buildings a comparison include of gas boiler+electric refrigeration,urban heat system+electric refrigeration, gas boiler+electric refrigeration (with ice storage),urban heat system+electric refrigeration (with ice storage), fire-directed absorption chiller,heat pump technical analysis. The heating and cooling loads were predicted.Recommendations of efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling methods areproposed. And also Provide guidance for the promotion of gas heating and cooling, andprovide technical support for the government decision-making.
