Along with the accelerating urbanization, the contradiction between human activitiesandecological environment is becoming more and more prominent. Under the background ofglobal warming,urban development from green ecological to energy conservationandenvironmental protection to the reform of the low carbon development idea has received widerecognition from all walks of life, that is imperative.Low carbon city construction need to beparticipated by the implementation of various industries, urban landscape has a positive impacton urban ecological environment construction and the improvement of people’s livingenvironment quality.Urban garden plant landscape as the main carrier of harmful gas in city and the carbondioxide absorption and transformation should give full play to its carbon sequestration. Plantlandscape design scientific and reasonable can guarantee adequate environmental landscapegreen quantity,relative stability of the total carbon sinks,avoiding carbon emissions rapidly,which is the core of the construction of urban landscape ecological function value.Low carbonconcept in the scientific and reasonable application of urban garden plant landscape design canimprove the ecological functions of the modern urban environment space and take the effect ofenvironmental afforestation, and which isthe important mission as the only "aliveinfrastructure" in the city of the plant.Settingup the concept of low carbon consciousness,putting the low carbon concept into urbangarden plant landscape design principles,andfulfilling the design of the low carbon concept specific into specific projects as soon aspossible will play an important role on promoting development of city landscape constructionand guiding low carbon city.By consulting large number of literature data, outlining the concept of low-carbonlandscape and function, reviewing progress and trend of the development of low carbongardens,analysising the connecting and differences of low-carbon landscape,ecological landscape and economicallandscape confirmed that the low-carbon landscape is not only akind of newtype,but also the principles of the concept of contemporary landscape construction anddevelopment.Attempt to proposing the low-carbon garden plant landscapedesign from theground base treatment, plant materials selection basis and method,different methods of plantconfiguration on the influence of the carbon sinks function and low-carbon landscape in urbandevelopment in the direction of the scalable.Aiming at the condition of the current landscapeconstruction at the same time,the analysis pointed out that in some problems and errors in thedesign of plant landscape,such as ignoring the application of native tree species, plantconfiguration is not reasonable,one-timecrash blindly choose large size trees, the pursuit oflandscape effect not enough attention, the trees,etc.,and puts forward the solution for theproblem. Finally, the current domestic and the world, the only one using converted from theenvironmental protection industrial waste park of Tianjin Ziyun park as an example,induces theconcept of low carbon in soil treatment,plant configuration,the application of waterrecycle,etc,and sums up the concept of low carbon city garden plant landscape construction inspecific methods and strategies.Hope that this article can provide some feasible method and the reference significance forguiding the practice on low carbon city garden plant landscape design in the future andapplication.
