| Environment has obvious effects on human’s body-mind health, landscape rehabilitationeffect attracts much more attention and is used for medical environment. Specific requirementsin therapeutic landscape design should be adapted to the needs of different patients. In order toacquire the healing effect scientific empirical research should be taken, as it is the foundationof healing landscape both in theory and practice. During the latest20years, relevant scholarsdevoted to the experiments and empirical researches between environmental and human’spsychological rehabilitation, and pointed out the positive effect and influence of nature andlandscape preference to human physical and mental health. Evidence-based design is based onempirical research and combine with design practice of the project flexibly, and is proved itsstrong vitality in therapeutic landscape. There are already some healing gardens for instanceboth at home and abroad. But related instances and researches for mental patients, whosepathogenesis has close relationship with environment and the number increased sharply, butreceive little attention due to its complicated particularity.The study is based on the therapeutic benefits of environment to human’s physical andmental, relative theory in therapeutic landscape, instance analysis on foreign healing gardens,and the empirical research on typical convalescence mental patients in Beijing ChaoyangDistrict Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service Center, by measuring their mood, pulse and bloodpressure before and after the experiment, to weigh the influence degree of outdoor landscape tomental patients’ physical and mental health, and then through behavior observation,questionnaire and interview, trying to summarize mental patients’ preference to the outdoorlandscape, and investigate the correlation of patients’ background and landscape preference, inorder to provide design suggestions about healing garden psychiatric rehabilitation institutionhealing gardens in China. |
