Since1980s, China has been joined the "old age mould". The aging population has become the stern problem for the whole society. How to create comfortable environment for aging population has become social problems waited for solving. The elderly have a lot of free time to take a leisurely life in the park after retirements, they need suitable outdoor environment. Service facilities is the medium between the user and environment, it can’t be ignored. At present, Chinese Urban City Park are mostly built earlier, the situation of aging people is not considered comprehensive. The form of instruction is thought important than function. the practical of instruction is poor, the number of various types of instruction is insufficient. The situation becomes more serious under the aging trend. Designers should consider the needs of the elderly, and then improve the quality of leisure life of aging.The key research of this paper is the design of the aging service facilities of urban parks in Beijing. It can be divided into seven kinds:Recreations facilities, Movement facilities, Instruction facilities, Barrier-free facilities, Ornament facilities, Health facilities, Illuminate facilities. On the basis of aging people’s behavioral and special requirement, the paper has made an investigation of three urban parks:the Black Bamboo Park, the Yuyuantan Park, and the Haidian Park, it has sums up the advantages and disadvantages of the facilities, and make an analysis of the disadvantages. Then, put forward a counter measures and suggestions. According to the research, the principles of aging service facilities are put forward, including of System, Specific, Security, Concise, Barrier-free, Function and Art. The research also summarized the detail design of aging service facilities; the purpose of this study is to provide the reference for the related design in future.
