This thesis presents the research and development of key techniques in a vehicularradar servo system, putting emphasis on the functional realization of a digital hardwareinterface based on FPGA and PC software.Firstly, the overall design scheme and the hardware circuit of the servo controllerare presented in this thesis. Based on Verilog hardware description language, the FPGAprograms are designed and developed for digital interfaces, including DA interfaces,serial ports, XINTF interfaces and RDC interfaces. The functional simulations anddebugging are conducted and each digital interfaces’ functions are realized at last.Then, the PC software is developed by using Visual C++6.0development tools tomake a function simulation and performance test of the servo system, which integratesmany functions such as serial port communication, status display, parameter settings,function simulation, original code display and data curve drawing.At last, the debugging work for turntable extension and servo control extension andthe whole servo system has been accomplished to analyze and solve some problemsraised during testing procedures. The results of performance testing indicate that theservo system can meet the requirements of indicators. Subsequently, the servo systemwas delivered to employ in practice.
