Since the beginning of the21st century,with energy resources depleting and environmental issues becoming increasingly prominent,the sustainability of energy is facing enormous challenges,it has become an inevitable choice of mankind to develop renewable energy vigorously. Wind power is the fastest growing renewable energy power generation, in the world,in recent years, wind power has been rapidly developed in China, installed capacity of wind power has increased annually, meanwhile, great wind power development and planning has been put forward in many countries including China. But Wind power is volatility and randomness, which will bring challenge to the safety and stabilization of power grid and then restrict the scale of wind power development. The peak-shaving power resources of China are originally scarce for the power generation structure is mainly based on coal-fired power. With large-scale wind power integration, the scarcity is becoming highlighted. The contradictions between the rapid growth of installed capacity of wind power and wind power integration restriction result of peak-shaving issue are sharpening. How to effectively evaluate the wind power curtailment in future power grid becomes an important problem, which both macroscopic decision-making departments and wind power generation enterprises pay special attention to. To quantify and analyze a large scale wind power’s efforts on peak shaving, trying to propose a calculation method refined with peak shaving capacity of the accommodation of the wind power. The main contents are as follows:(1)The wind power fluctuation characteristics is analyzed. The statistical analysis of the characteristics of wind power is a basic work. Firstly, according to China’s domestic of the grid data of a certain region,this paper validates regional analysis method to calculate the wind power based on NASA’s earth observation database.Then, According to measured data of wind power generated by wind farm group located in YanTai,the distribution characteristics of wind power fluctuation ratio and the biggest wind power output in different temporal and spatial scales are quantitatively analyzed. Wind power clustering effect is analyzed at last.It provide scientific basis for wind power plan.(2) The study on the impact of wind power integration on power system reserve and the ability of load regulation. An assessment method of power system reserve calculation model is established based on Law of Total Probability Algorithm to study the impact of wind power integration on power system reliability and reserve quantitatively. Providing quantitative indicators for power system with wind power integration of different capacities with load forecasting error, units’ random fault and wind power prediction error in mind.(3)Put forward the computing method of peak regulation capacity and the impacts of power system peak load regulation on the grid’s adopt capacity are analyzed. Wind power acceptance capbility of Shandong power grid on typical days of different season in2012is analyzed. The impact of pumped storage and wind power synergistic dispatching and the tie line power adjustment on wind power integration of power grid is researched.At last, The wind power acceptance capbility will be calculated considering wind power clustering effect.
