Tourist Attraction Visitors’ Centre Landscape Design Research

In recent years, as the tourism develops, people have higher pursuit in spiritral areas,so as for tourism service facilities. Meanwhile, as the rise of self service travel, traditionalservice facilities cannot meet the needs of people in nowadays. It has become an urgentproblem to be solved that the visiter centre, as a service facility in tourist attraction, needsto be improved. However, most research for visitor centre in tourist attraction stays on thesite planning and architectural design, while in desparate lack of theoriotical research forits landscape design.This article is written from the perspective of landscape science, mainly studiedspecific landscape space design, combined relevant case study to have a deep research forvisitor centre landscape design. Chapter One summarised the concept of visitor centre.Chapter Two introduced the design principles and influencing factors in visitor centrelandscape design. Chapter Three mainly introduced and summarised the design methods ofvisitor centre landscape, analysing from three levels including space level, image level andecological greening level. Chapter Four verified the above design methods through thecase study of landscape design for the level one visitor centre of Taihu Lake.
