Compared with the traditional mode of transport, container drop and pull transport having lower cost, higher efficiency, faster vehicle turnover, energy-saving, emission reduction and other advantages, is an important measure for the development of green logistics. At the same time, drop and pull transport using the principle of parallel work, greatly shorten the vehicle waiting for cargo handling and port waiting time, which improve the operation efficiency of port logistics.As an advanced method of transport organization, container truck and trailer transport has been widely used in western countries. But in China, due to the restrictions of rules, technical standards, hardware, method of scheduling, container truck and trailer transport has been used only in some particular provinces. Among all the restrictions, lacking of effective methods of schedule are bottle-neck problems. In order to promote the fast and stable development of China’s container drop and pull transport industry, a deep research from theoretical level becomes a hot research topic needed to be solved. The main research is about the drop and pull transport organization optimization and vehicle scheduling to guide practice and service practice.This paper studies scheduling problem of container drop and pull transport under the terminal centralization and distribution. The innovation of this paper lies in building a container drop and pull transport vehicle scheduling mode under one point and multi-lines mode in the hub-spoke network and designing a simulated annealing algorithm based on heuristic rules. Numerical experiments analysis proves the validity of the algorithm. This paper also extended one center problem to multi-centers problem. This paper is organized in the following way, first introduced the concept and organization mode of drop and pull transport, followed which is details of the intelligent algorithm used in this paper. Then is the part of modeling and algorithm designing according to the scheduling problem of one center and multi-centers hub-spoke network, respectively. Finally, numerical experiments had been carried out. The outcomes prove that simulation annealing algorithm based on heuristic rules is effective in solving this problem and has certain reference values for scheduling personnel.
