| With the rapid development of computer technology and instrument technology, for mechanical equipment fault diagnosis method becomes rich and varied. Motor current signal analysis (MCSA) is developing rapidly in recent years.It has one important advantage that it’s not limited by the sensor location. Gradually, MCSA has been widely used in fault diagnosis of mechanical equipment. Earliest, MCSA methods have been applied basic troubleshooting electrical equipment in the body structure, but the MCSA method is applied to the motor drive system for fault diagnosis of its mechanical moving parts rarely. In this paper, the design and development of virtual instrument technology based fault diagnosis of gear transmission equipment, the use of MCSA method for closed devices gear fault diagnosis.1. It’s inconvenient that installing the sensor in the sealing device. Therefore, this study opted MCSA method for gear fault diagnosis. Using this method to measure the stator current directly, and extract gear torsional vibration frequency in stator current component.2. Using of virtual instrument technology, we can design and develop the Gear fault diagnosis instrument. The device is consist of hardware and software. The hardware is consist of sensors, signal conditioning cards, data acquisition card, computer components; We use LabVIEW software to develop a self-designed gear fault test system based on virtual instrument. The system includes a data acquisition, data storage, data analysis and other functions. The system achieves the extraction of gear torsional vibration frequency by using wavelet analysis modules and time-frequency analysis module. We can compare the torsional vibration frequency which extracted by system with the frequency of gear fault feature in LabVIEW Database. According to this method, we can monitor and diagnosis gear fault.3. Setting up experimental platform. In the experiment, we extract and collect the motor stator current signal which gear was regular and irregular. Experimental results show that this diagnostic system can accurately extract, identify the gear torsional vibration frequencies. In summary, this study design and develop Gear fault diagnosis instrument is feasible. |
