As the backbone in urban rail transit network, subway has experienced a sharp increase with the passenger volume during the China’s Twelfth-Year Plan, indicating that subway has been a critical link in inner-city massive passenger transit network. However, an issue is also gained more and more attention along with the large-scale subway construction and operation, which is subway’s emergency management, to keep subway safety. Meanwhile, subway’s Operation Control Center (OCC) is in charge of daily operation and management, which is also a switch to subway’s safety or not. Therefore, the emergency response capabilities of controllers and dispatchers in OCC is closely related to operation safety in subway. Emergency drill is one of the most important contents in emergency preparation, along with response, rescue and restoration consisting the emergency management. Besides, emergency drill is the best and most direct way to testify the contingency plans. As a novel pattern in subway emergency drill, the simulation system has certain advatange in time and cost in comparision with virtual system. It will certainly improve the abundance of emergency drill by simulating different emergency situations, associated with contingency plans, which will dig out the weakest link in subway emergency preparation and then improve the emergency response ability in OCC.This paper associate with emergency management theory, system simulation system and computer techniques, to cover a systematic and targeted research topic:subway emergency drill. The brief contents and highlights of this paper are:(1)Analyzing emergency drill process under subway OCC background, then point out the dfemand analysis of the simulation system of subway emergency drill.(2)Three aspects, which are emergency scene setting, process simulation, drill results evaluation, are put forward to analyze the simulation system. Common emergency scenes are classified and clarification in emergency scene setting, process analysis and simulation model are designed to elaborate the fixed pattern in emergency drills, and evaluation factors and method are carefully selected and integrated into evaluation model. All these three sections provide strong theory and data support for the design of the simulation system of subway emergency drill.(3)Simulaiton framework is established based on demand analysis and system study, to design the simulation system in detail from functional design, database design and process design.This paper is a compresensive study on simulation system of subway emergency drill through theory and framework design, to support the emergency organization and management of subway dispatching, also a foundation for further research. This novel simulation system has the advantages of lower costs, risk free, easier control, repeatable and easy information collection, compared to the traditional virtual drill.
