As the science and technology developed, artificial electromagnetic radiation increased, which making electromagnetic environment become complex; With digital devices and integrated circuits widely used in systems, they are more sensitive to electromagnetic environment. The electromagnetic fields in space will couple to the cable which be used in intersystem communication, which will interfere the normal operation of the system and make the equipments be paralyzed in serious condition. In addition, in modern warfare, electromagnetic weapons are Pervasive application, which propose new requirements for the anti-EMI performance of systems and equipments. Therefore, the research of the coupling effect between electromagnetic fields and cables are significant.First, this paper use the distributed parameter theory Transmission Line(TL) Theory to study the issue of coupling effect between electromagnetic fields and cables. The passive and active transmission line model have been build, and the Telegraph Equations have been solved. And The parameters of the TL model have been studied. Through the simulation and examples of IES, verified the effectiveness of the active transmission line model. Then, the affection of the change of parameters to coupling effect through different examples under different parameters has been studied.Secondly, analyzed of the linear relationship between the electromagnetic radiation intensity and induced current, measured the induced currents on the cable. The test results has verify the correctness and validity of the active transmission line model. Finally, based on the theoretical analysis, simulation and the experimental study, using the Matlab to program, EMF COUPLING CABLE SOFTWARE has been developed.
