A Study On The Coordination Of Urban Planning And Urban Tourism Planning In China

Tourism planning has emerged as a specialization of urban planning.In the development process of tourism, the urban tourism plays an important role of urban tourism destination and tourist origin. And there is a conviction that the prerequisite of the realization of the modernization of urban tourism is the modernization of urban planning. Accordingly, it seems that only the urban tourism planning is brought into the overall urban planning of the city’s economic development, can the urban planning make the urban tourism and urbanization develop coordinately.Comparing with developed country, Chinese tourism planning started rather late and has weak economic foundation, but develops quickly. On October1,2013, the first Tourism Law of the People’s Republic of China was promulgated, which incorporates the tourism planning into law category. The law claims clearly that state council and local governments at or above country level shall include tourism development into national economy and social development planning. The tourism development planning should link up with the general planning of local land, urban and rural planning, environment protection planning and the protection of other natural, historical and cultural resources.So it’s necessary and very meaningful to study the coordination between urban tourism planning and urban planning.Through the literature research, the development history, relationship and evolution details of urban planning and urban tourism plannning are summarized. Then a new evaluation indicators system is established to analyze the coordinative development of this two planning. It will mainly use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to calculate the weight of index in the evaluation index system and use the Linear weighted sum method to calculate the coordination degree between Urban planning and urban tourism planning under the evaluation index system. Then this paper will turn to applied research, inconsistency and incompatibility as well as the necessity and significance of coordination between Wuhan city’s urban planning and urban tourism planning will been though quantitative evaluation and qualitative analysis. Finally, an optimization method will be summarized in according with the concrete conditions of Wuhan at present.
