With the current rapid development of urban infrastructure, image of a city at night causes more and more attention and landscape lighting development can be said that changes with each passing day. The city landscape lighting can reflect economic strength and cultural quality of a city, and also carries the cultural information from the precipitation of the city’s long-term development. A city’s elements, like historical culture, humanities, natural scene, ethnic characteristics, provide a wealth of readily available information for landscape lighting design. As designers, we should make good use of these elements to make landscape lighting design be more in line with a city’s positioning so that it can integrate into the city and integrate into civilian’s life. This paper will begin to interpret the origin of landscape lighting, and research its appearance history and development trajectory. Through analysis and research of domestic and international landscape lighting cases, this paper will learn how to take advantage of regional culture to design landscape lighting, discover and conclude their advantages. On the other side, this paper will identify and summarize problems through analysis of landscape light market survey. Then according to preliminary research and analysis, summarized a set of design methods to efficiently use energy Landscape. Finally, independently design a number of sections landscape lighting by using the results of these study and eventually develop an effective solution for specific domestic urban streetscape streetlights. This design will reflect geographical and cultural connotations as well as realize efficient utilization.
