Nowadays, along with fast development of science and technology, weighing technology by original ways tends to development of informationization and modernization. In the1970s, the development of electronic weighing on the technology apparatus to mature, making its quickness and accuracy greatly improved. Along with the continuous expansion of iron and steel enterprises and increasingly complex of production process, accordingly raising higher requirements to the measurement level of the enterprise management, streamline metrology personnel and improve the efficiency of business processing. Therefore, the remote concentrated metering system become a indispensable key link in the process of informationization construction of enterprise measurement.Firstly, this paper discusses the background of the selected topic system and the domestic current situation of the remote measurement, then on the basis of measuring need of some steel company, build the software framework and hardware framework of remote concentrated metering terminal system. At the stage of system design, The whole system adopts centralized management and distribution of monitoring design mode, all the data (including image, voice and controlling signals, etc.) are processed immediately by metering terminal and the software system, this system interact with the control center by a measuring private network. This paper mainly research the hardware design and function realization of the terminal system, introducing the software structure and operation process of the terminal system based on it, primarily analyzing the design and main program of data acquisition module, data communication module and the RFID card reader module.Remote concentrated metering system can not only improve the operating efficiency of company materials measurement and service level, but also combine all materials measurement points and the centralized measurement monitoring center organically, realizing the operation of materials measurement and the centralized monitoring and management of the business management, the material data exchange and the seamless joint of business system and measurement system, and the data sharing and long distance weighting of materials measurement. it can also reduce the operating personnel and solve the problem of measurement shortage of manpower. The system has been successfully putting-in-service proactively in some steel company, and achieved a good effect, creating a certain economic benefits.
