With the development of the national economy, the demand of people’s life quality iscontinuously increasing. The refrigeration system is one of the important equipment to improvequality of people’s life. It has been becoming the essential products of people’s home life.Refrigerators and freezers make the food fresh, air conditioning equipments provide a comfortableliving environment for the residents. Therefore, the repairing and maintaining of refrigerationsystem become more and more important. Ensure the healthy operation of the refrigeration systemcan effectively improve the living environment, saving energy, and protecting environment.The traditional maintenance of refrigeration system is mechanical and look-up table method. Akind of monitoring and testing instrument (MTI) for refrigeration system is developed in this paper,which has overcome the shortcomings of traditional method, such as complicated operation,complex analysis, inconvenient carrying, etc. With the advantages of portability, integration, andintelligence, this new instrument can be effectively used for debugging, installing, repairing, andmaintaining of refrigeration system.This paper firstly introduces the research status at home and abroad. Based on the analysis ofrefrigeration principle and the study of repair strategies of refrigeration system, a design scheme ofMTI for refrigeration system and the corresponding analysis software was proposed. Thenexpounds it’srealization process in detail, analyses it’s key technology. After testing, the system isfully functional and running stably.The MTI for refrigeration system is used to test the parameters of refrigeration system, andanalyze the performances of refrigeration system. Adopting the low power microprocessor,STM32L151CB ARM based on Cortex-M3, as the core, a hardware system was designed, whichhas the functions of display, data acquisition, communication, control, etc. A control program wasdeveloped based on C language, so that each module can work in coordination. The keytechnologies, such as acquisition, calibration, power consumption, anti-jamming, is described indetail in this paper.The corresponding analysis software of the MTI is used to extend the functions of MTI, whichhas the functions of visual display, in-depth analysis, and so on. The software is developed on theplatform of Microsoft.NET, and programmed in C#WinForm. The database is developed inSQL2005to store the running data. The modules of the MTI, such as control, communication, dataanalysis, database, and data exchange, were developed. And the key technologies, such as dataencryption, data exchange, pressure enthalpy diagram, are discussed in this paper.At the end of this paper, a test was done for the MTI. Firstly, a module testing was carried out. Then, an integrated test was done under the normal working status of all modules. Finally, thewhole system was placed on the test bench to test its performance in the real refrigeration systemenvironment. The test results show that system has the full functions, strong work stability, highinterference resistance, and it can be applied to the actual working condition.
