| With the using of new materials, new technology and new craft in manufacturing ofvehicle, the performance of vehicles has become better, while the structure has becomemore complex, which leads to the problem of fault diagnosis. It is necessary to improve thereliability, maintainability and safety of the vehicles electronic system. The projects withindependent intellectual property rights described an embedded automobile remote faultdiagnosis and maintenance system, which can convert the timing/mileage maintenanceinto real-time maintenance. It can improve the vehicle maintenance technology, andconscientiously improve the stability and security of cars.The main content of the paper includes three aspects such as theoretical research,design, and test.First of all, the paper researches the principle and working process of GPRScommunication technology from three aspects such as the network structure, protocolmodel and the data transmission,which can combines the advantages of remote datamonitoring with diesel engine data acquisition. At the same time it provides the theoreticalbasis for the automotive fault diagnosis with the research of diagnosis system andSAE-J1939protocol. Second, on the basis of the SAE J1939protocol, design the circuitdiagram of the fault diagnosis instrument hardware with the infineon MCU of XC2000series and GPRS module by Protel99se. It also design the common diesel engine faultdiagnosis system which can communicate and exchange data with server by GPRSnetwork. Finally, it examine the effects of remote digital diagnostic instrument ofelectronic-control by online test with connecting the ECU and simulating all workingconditions and various error conditions.The study shows that remote digital diagnostic instrument of electronic-control canbasically achieve the purpose of remote acquisition and monitoring of daily data of vehicle,and remote diagnosis of vehicle. |
