Fuel cell is an electrical energy generating device which can transform chemical energy in fuel into electrical energy isothermally by electrochemical reaction. It has high efficiency, low emissions and other characteristics. In recent years, attention has been paid widely by governments, companies and research institutions to fuel cell, and it shows the broad application prospects in many areas. Under the great support of the National Science and Technology Plan of863,973, etc., fuel cell research in China is booming. However, the research and development of fuel cell Measurement and Control System has not been given enough attention and simultaneous development. In this thesis based on LabVIEW, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) technology is applied to develop a fuel cell simulation test system, which can get the electrical properties and efficiency of fuel cell automatically. At first a physical platform is designed and built for testing according to the function of test. Graphical programs are presented in LabVIEW, which should have a good interface. Real-time signal processing is achieved through system integration, then New European Driving Cycle test is used in this test system to complete hardware-in-the-loop test. The results indicate that this system can test the fuel cell under several different loads with a good operability and safety, providing a testing means for fuel cell development.
