At present, the analysis of rock slope stability is always a problem in engineering field, method for analysis of rocky slope stability variety, each has advantages and disadvantages and applicability, but due to the complexity of slope engineering, there are still some problems in slope stability analysis. In this paper, application of advanced soil mechanics, elastic-plastic mechanics, fluid mechanics theory knowledge, research on the application of three dimensional finite element strength reduction methods in rock slope stability calculation. The full text is divided into five chapters, the first chapter, the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad and the main research contents of the second chapter analysis; rock slope qualitative method (method of stereographic projection), quantitative method (limit equilibrium method and the strength reduction finite element method) and their characteristics and applicability; the third chapter studies the terrain landform and geological structure, rock mass structure, rainfall, artificial excavation and other factors on the stability of rock slope; the fourth chapter based on the actual slope engineering projects, the use of two, three dimensional finite element strength reduction on the slope stability of actual engineering calculation, the evaluation indexes of rock slope displacement, the potential slip surface, safety factor the slope stability analysis, evaluation, two kinds of method is accurate and reasonable; the fifth chapter is the summary and the prospects for further research.The innovation of this paper lies in the following two aspects:1. Analysis of rock mass structure, cohesion and angle of internal friction, rainfall duration and depth of the excavation depth, artificial influence on slope stability, and the use of three-dimensional finite element numerical analysis software for three dimensional calculation, the sensitivity of quantitative indicators, many previous studies only limited to the two dimension, three dimensional calculation is more practical, more reasonable.2. Using the Midas-GTS software, a three-dimensional finite element model, focus on the division of the terrain slope rock mass and the grid hierarchical structure, slope, retaining structure considering gravity, groundwater level and rainfall, the reasonable selection of boundary conditions, the displacement is calculated, the rock slope should be the evaluation index of stress and strain, the potential sliding surface the safety coefficient, use three dimensional strength reduction method, slope stability evaluation.
