The electric wheel vehicle is one of the mostpotential among the electric vehicles. The motors are integrated into the wheels,reducing much traditional mechanical structure and many other advantages. However,due to the involvement of the motor,the unsprung mass will becomes larger, this willaffect the vehicle’s ride comfort and handling stability.This paper focuses on the influence of electric wheel car unsprung mass changeon vehicle performance, combined with the structural characteristics of electricvehicles, use Matlab/Simulink software,build the ride comfort and handling stabilitymodel and do the simulation and analysis. The main contents are as follows:Firstly we introduced the structural characteristics of electric wheel vehicles, thevehicle will be simplified to11degrees of freedom vibration model, using Matlab/Simulink to build ride simulation models. Build the random excitation road of class Bã€C and triangle pulse road with Matlab/Simulink. Studying the ride comfort of vehiclein different road and speed.We study the ride comfort as the different quality of eachwheel. We can get the parameters such as vertical acceleration of each seats and thevehicle body,the suspension deflections and dynamic wheel load. We analyzaed thesimulation results and get the speed-acceleration curve in different quality ofunsprung mass.As the motor is integrated in the wheels, the torque ripple of the motor rotationwill affect the ride comfrt of the body passed through the vehicle suspensionsystem.This paper selects the switched reluctance motor,building the equation offluctuation in the vertical direction according to the ratating of motor.Studying theeffects of motor vibration on vehicle ride comfort.
