This paper was used a laser rangefinder method based on a time-digital conversion (TDC) chip.Using this conversion chip accurately calculate the flight time of laser in the air and the precise distances. The experimental results showed that the pulse laser range finder those use this conversion chip can effectively improve the accuracy, reduce the cost, simplicity, high practical value.Paper was designed pulsed laser transmitting module, receiving module, pulse time identification module, high pressure bias module, high precision time measurement module and microcontroller module. Laser system mainly including laser diodes, laser driver circuit, pulse circuit such as signal device, which choose osram SPL LL903laser diode, MOSFET driver chip EL7104DS1040and pulse generator, then designed the circuit of laser transmission. Laser receiving circuit choose Silicon Sensor AD500-9avalanche diode, which has a high sensitivity to weak light signal. Pulse time identification module used the MAX913comparator of MAXIM company,which is able to accurately identify the pulse at moment. High voltage bias module by adjusting the duty ratio of555timer, the booster circuit, the simulation results are output stable constant voltage200v, and the voltage ripple is small. Micro controller unit by Texas instruments of ultra-low power consumption MSP430F149, as the laser system of control center, control the generation of emission signal and the final data through the LED display. Finally introduced the communication between TCD-GP2and MSP430F149.
