Laser ranging is an important branch of laser science and engineering which has big potential development. It has the innate advantages of monochromaticity, directionality and coherence, which can help get good distance measurement accuracy.The laser range finder is divided into continuous mode and discontinuous mode at present by different work process. After comparing the principles of representative phase laser ranging and pulse laser ranging and considering application requirements on further distance measurement, simpler structure, lower cost, the pulse laser ranging is the final choose.This paper has made detail analysis on the measurement principle of pulse laser ranging and designed the measurement circuit based on the principle. It focuses on designing the receiving circuit which includes bias high-voltage circuit based on APD, amplifier circuit and comparative shaping circuit.The main work of this paper is the design and simulation of signal processing systems. On one hand, it designs the high-precision time-interval measurement module based on TDC-GP22. On the other hand, it designs the overall signal processing module based on FPGA, provide examples to demonstrate the functional simulation and timing simulation of digital circuits.Finally this article discusses and summaries the overall research for its improvement and outlook.
