With the rapid development of highway tunnel, the waste problems of tunnel lighting energy have become increasingly prominent, lighting costs have become a heavy burden for the state, the existing highway tunnel lighting control system can not meet the requirements of energy conservation in highway tunnel. The current tunnel lighting mostly adopts manual control mode, switch by controlling the amount of light in each group to adjust the brightness of the lamp, the design of this control mode wastes a lot of energy and easy to produce the "spot" on the road,which has brought the great threat for the drivers. Therefore, we have the need for tunnel lighting system optimization to find a way providing a comfortable driving environment for the driver, and can effectively reduce the energy consumption of the tunnel lighting control scheme.According to the characteristics of the tunnel lighting, tunnel lighting is divided into entrance section, transition section, middle section and exit section, the control mode is divided into manual control, timing control and automatic control. Take real-time acquisition parameters for automatic control, parameter selection outside brightness, average speed and traffic volume as the input of the controller, calculated by the control algorithm of each brightness. At the same time, with the development of technology, FPGA is more widely used, the benefits of FPGA design are not only reduced the number of devices but also design flexibly. To sum up, this paper is designed to highway tunnel lighting control system based on FPGA, combined the control algorithm, based on CAN bus, the CAN bus controller and transceiver are respectively SJA1000and PCA82C250chip, the use of the CAN-BUS network, the data will be sent to the LED node, the dimming mode is PWM technology, it is a kind of simulation control mode, pulse modulation signal duty cycle determines the average current per unit time through the LED.This system can realize the automatic control in the unattended condition, no longer rely on traditional manual and timing control method, reduce the human input and energy consumption.
