As a new type of optical parts processing technology, magnetorheological polishing technology is becoming a hot spot of research technology, with a series of advantages, like its high machining efficiency, computer control easily, no tool wear, the polishing head without getting dull etc. This thesis studies spherical sheet processing technology based on the magnetic rheological polishing, with the basis of the band type magnetic rheological polishing device developed at the early stage of the experiment, designs of a small magnetic rheological polishing device, discusses a new kind of spherical single processing technology.This paper introduces and analysis the machining principle of the magnetic rheological polishing technology and ring type magnetic rheological polishing material removal mechanism. According to generation method and quasi ball method(when polishing parts, workpiece axis and the axis of the grinding head of line intersect in one point), it put forward structure design scheme of a small magnetic rheological polishing device. Design the rotary polishing grinding head, artifacts institutions and circulation storage device. Rotary polishing grinding head design the annular magnetic field, and the simulation analysis of the magnetic field by software ANSYS; artifacts body part designs of one angle adjustment device, the rotation angle90°.Through constructing the experimental device, study to the influence of different process parameters (workpiece spindle speed, polished shaft workpiece speed, concentration of polishing powder, machining gap etc)on the polishing effect, get the optimum technological parameters. According to the structural design, small magnetic rheological polishing device has assembled. For the design of the subsequent small magnetic rheological polishing device laies a certain foundation, through experiments verify the feasibility of this design.
