The battery is essential consumer goods in people’s daily life. Many portable electronics and appliances require a lot of batteries. Alkaline manganese battery is one kind of modern battery with high performance and low price and it is developing at an alarming rate as well as its quality. As a result of this, it becomes more and more popular among the consumers and takes a large market share. Nowadays the alkaline manganese battery becomes one of the leading products among the battery area. So the development of battery industry and the performance of the battery which are related to the interests of consumers. Testing the performance of the battery is essential before they go to the market. The traditional test method is manual detection with slow speed and high error rate, which become a huge obstacle of the development of Chinese battery industry. With the development of science and technology, the computers has made great achievements, the microcontroller automatically detection technology take a wide use in the battery industry.This paper focused on the research and design of the performance of the battery on-line detection system. Firstly, it emphatically introduced the construction and working principle of the whole system; Secondly, it elaborated the design of the hardware circuit, software, and the program of communication between computer and MCU. Finally, it comprehensive analysis the anti-jamming method by hardware and software and analysis the data which comes from experiment. This design selected Hongjing company’s STC90C516RD+microcontroller as the master chip and based on the HC6800board of Puzhong technology. This design contains the open-circuit voltage detection circuit and the short-circuit current detection circuit, the data acquisition circuit, the key-press circuits, the signal isolation circuit, the power supply circuit. The design of software includes the program of MCU controlling system and the program of communication between computer and MCU. The program of MCU control segment consisting of initialization module, key module, battery detection module, AD converter module, display module and so on. The program of communication between computer and MCU use the communication controller-MSComm which provided by VC++6.0to achieve the data communication between computer and hardware. This system can automatically detect two parameters of battery, it overcome the shortcomings of manual detection, and improve the production efficiency and save the labor rate.All kinds of commissioning show that the system works good and can basically meet the design requirements.
