The ancient architecture in our country is wooden structure system mostly, and these ancient buildings have been used for a long time so that the structural safety reserve decreased. Using the basalt fiber cloth reinforcement technology to repair and reinforce the ancient timber buildings is more in line with the principle of "restoring the old as the old". In a variety of fiber composite materials, the domestic basalt fiber has the advantage of good comprehensive performance and high cost-effective which can not be compared with other fibers. As a new and high-tech method of reinforcement in the field of building structure reinforcement, the basalt fiber is appearing a positive active posture and has broad developmental prospects. In this paper,25wooden beams damaged by the static loads were used to reinforce by the domestic basalt fiber cloth, and the static load experiment research was conducted again.To simulate the damaged state of the timber beams before reinforcement,25wooden beams were damaged by the static loads first, and then the25wooden beams were reinforced by different ways according the extent of damage and different damaged state, the following static load experiment was that:the carrying capacity and ductility performance of wooden beams before and after reinforcement were compared each to each. The results showed that basalt fiber cloth reinforcement and pasting technology is suitable for wooden structure has been damaged, pasting fiber cloth has contribution to improving stiffness, ductility and carrying capacity of wooden beams; the reinforcement effect of pasting one layer fiber cloth was significantly weaker than that pasting two and three; the reinforcement effect of fiber cloth pasted with lengthways and annular hoop bar simultaneously is better than that of only pasted with lengthways or annular hoop; when the laminating degree of fiber cloth and wooden beams is better, the reinforcement effect is more significant, this indicated that the quality of construction had a significant impact on the reinforcement effect. For the specimen of pure shear failure, reinforcement was aimed at the broken specimen, so the recovery of carrying capacity was very low which was only53%,71%and80%of the original, the reinforcement effect of pasting annular hoop fiber cloth in the damaged place was more significant than that pasting lengthways one; for the specimen of transverse shear failure, the recovery of carrying capacity was84%~145%, the reinforcement effect of pasting lengthways fiber cloth was more significant than that pasting annular hoop fiber cloth; For the specimen of bending shear failure, the recovery of carrying capacity was24%~159%because of the different the extent of damage, this progress needed the annular hoop measure and pasting lengthways fiber cloth synergistically. This research provided a reference for reinforcement design of ancient buildings wood structural.
